Vincent Obia

Vincent Obia is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow researching African approaches to AI regulation and digital media governance at the School of Information, Journalism and Communication, University of Sheffield. As a Commonwealth Scholar, he completed his PhD on social media regulation and digital governance at Birmingham City University. His research interests include AI regulation, platform governance, and the inequalities between the Global North/South in the use, design, and regulation of new media technologies.
