Var Shankar

As Executive Director at the Responsible AI Institute, Var Shankar helps organizations use AI in alignment with AI and industry laws, frameworks and best practices. Var previously practiced law in the Capital Markets and Banking divisions of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP and worked on the Clinton Global Initiative. He is a graduate of Harvard Law School. Var is a member of the OECD's Network of Experts on AI, World Economic Forum's AI Governance Alliance and the Brookings Forum for Cooperation on AI. He is a Co-Instructor, along with Alexis Cook, of Kaggle’s AI Ethics course.
