Tom Di Fonzo

Tom Di Fonzo is the Journalist-in-Residence for the Institute for Data, Democracy & Politics (IDDP). He plans and produces original content to inform and educate the public, journalists, and policymakers about IDDP's work. He formerly worked at the Wall Street Journal as a Video Journalist and Executive Producer. Tom's career started in the U.K. where he set up the video operations for the WSJ's London bureau before heading to Hong Kong to lead a team of video journalists covering news around the region. This included award winning reporting of the 1MDB scandal that saw the prosecution of the former Malaysian Prime Minister, Najib Razak. Tom has since relocated to the U.S. where he focused his reporting on the intersection between technology, business and politics.
