Siwei Lyu

Siwei Lyu is the SUNY Empire Innovation Professor at the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the University at Buffalo. Siwei obtained his PhD degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College. His research work focuses on the development of counter technologies to various types of media manipulation and synthesis, including deepfakes. He is the most cited researcher in multimedia forensics, and developed the open deepfake detection platform known as deepfake-o-meter. Siwei is a Fellow of IEEE, IAPR, and a Distinguished Member of ACM. He is a member of American Association of Forensic Sciences (AAFS) and American Society for AI (ASFAI).
