Sina Fazelpour

Sina Fazelpour is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Computer Science at Northeastern University. In addition to his position at Northeastern University, Sina is currently a visiting AI fellow at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). He is a Schmidt Futures AI2050 Early Career Fellow, and the 2020-21 Council Fellow on the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Data Policy. Sina’s research—on justice and reliability in AI-informed decision-making and on the impacts of group diversity—are motivated by conceptual and methodological challenges that confront researchers and regulators as they seek to evaluate and enhance the quality of institutional decision-making in our diverse, inter-connected, and increasingly algorithmic societies.
