Rand Hammoud

Rand Hammoud is a Surveillance Campaigner leading Access Now's international campaign efforts in the fight against rights-abusing surveillance laws, technologies, and practices, with a particular focus on spyware and targeted surveillance tech, along with biometric surveillance. Rand is a human rights researcher and campaigner previously working at Amnesty International, where she covered a number of portfolios on the MENA region, including Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon. Previously, Rand also worked as a humanitarian field officer responding to the refugee crisis in Lebanon. She holds a bachelor degree from the Lebanese American University in Political Science/International Affairs with a dual-minor in Economics and Conflict Analysis & Resolution.
