Michael Khoo

Michael Khoo is climate disinformation program director at Friends of the Earth and co-founder of UpShift Strategies. He has led research projects on how climate disinformation networks merged with Q-Anon, documented how Facebook and Twitter spread climate disinformation during the Texas blackout and during Canadian wildfires, helped the social media platform Pinterest develop its climate disinformation policy, written on the climate impacts of artificial intelligence, documented climate disinformation at the UN Climate Change Conference COP26, and co-founded the Climate Action Against Disinformation coalition where he is policy co-chair.
