Merve Hickok

Merve Hickok is the President and Research Director at Center for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP), engaged in global AI policy and regulatory work, with a particular focus on fundamental rights, democratic values, and social justice. She is an expert advising OECD, UNESCO, United Nations, EU committees and the Council of Europe on AI governance. Her contributions and perspective have featured in The New York Times, Washington Post, Guardian, CNN, Forbes, Bloomberg, Wired, Scientific American, The Atlantic, Politico, and The Economist. She is also the founder of AIethicist.org, and is a lecturer at University of Michigan.
