Matthew Canfield is an Assistant Professor Law and Society & Law and Development at the Van Vollenhoven Institute for Law, Governance and Society at Leiden Law School. Drawing on ethnographic methods, his research examines the law and politics of sustainable food systems with a current focus on digital technologies and data governance.
