Marissa Gerchick

Marissa Gerchick (she/her) is a Data Scientist and Algorithmic Justice Specialist with the ACLU’s Technology Team, where her work focuses on the civil rights implications of automated systems used by government agencies and private entities. Previously, Marissa was a Technology Policy Fellow for the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee Antitrust Subcommittee through the TechCongress program, where she focused on federal legislation and oversight to promote algorithmic accountability. Marissa also worked as a Data Scientist at the Stanford Computational Policy Lab. Marissa is currently an Affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society and was previously an Assembly Fellow with the Berkman Klein Center’s Institute for Rebooting Social Media. She holds a B.S. in Mathematical and Computational Science and an M.S. in Management Science & Engineering with a focus on Computational Social Science from Stanford University.
