Jody Oetzel

Jody Oetzel (she/her) is a Research Associate at the Notre Dame – IBM Tech Ethics Lab. At the Lab, she researches local government usage of emerging technology and explores how academic research can inform local governments’ ethical technology usage. Jody previously worked with the National League of Cities and the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, where she conducted and supported research on urban governance and global cities. She holds a BA from Wheaton College and a Master of Global Affairs (MGA) from the University of Notre Dame. Continuing her research trajectory on city leadership within multilevel governance, Jody will begin doctoral studies in political science this fall.
