Jeff Allen

Jeff Allen is co-founder and chief science officer at the Integrity Institute. A former physicist and astronomer, Allen left academia for data science in 2013 and has since worked on multiple sides of the internet information ecosystem, including for publishers, platforms, platforms, and political organizations and campaigns. At Facebook, he worked on tackling systemic issues in the public content ecosystems of Facebook and Instagram, developing strategies to ensure that the incentive structure that the platforms created for publishers was in alignment with Facebook’s company mission statement. Allen leads the Integrity Institute's research efforts, helping to harness the experience and expertise of its community of integrity professionals and share it with the world. He works with companies, policy makers, academics, and civil society to help build a better social internet.
