Ivan Sang

Ivan Sang provides research and advisory services in digital transformation and development. He has supported the National Computer & Cybercrimes Coordination Committee (NC4) in enhancing Kenya’s critical information infrastructure and collaborated with the Commonwealth Secretariat on cyber resilience projects for some African member states. Ivan is a Commonwealth Africa Cyber Fellow, a Member of the AI & Democracy Working Group at the Africa AI Policy Lab, and a member of both the Internet Society and the Society for Computers & Law (SCL). He participates in ISACA’s SheLeadsTech initiative to promote inclusivity in technology. Previously, Ivan provided research and lecturing services at Strathmore University, guiding students in IT-related subjects. He also managed academic alliance programs with SAP, Oracle, EMC Corporation, and Microsoft. He is affiliated with the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research & Innovation, exploring digital projects that would catalyze progress towards the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ivan received training in Information Technology from Strathmore University and Internet Law & Policy from the University of Strathclyde. Ivan enjoys chess, staying active, and supporting environmental conservation with the East African Wildlife Society.
