Ian Moura

Ian Moura is a research assistant at the Lurie Institute for Disability Policy and a doctoral candidate in Social Policy at The Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, where his work focuses on the intersection of technology and disability policy. His research interests include services and outcomes for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, data and measurement, and algorithmic bias. Ian aims to conduct participatory research that explores how algorithmic decision-making impacts disabled people; translates to real, meaningful change; and authentically reflects disabled people’s needs, preferences, and right to self-determination.
