Dr. Haileleol Tibebu is an AI scientist at the University of Houston and the founder of AfricanVoiceAI.org, an organization dedicated to promoting African perspectives in global AI discourse. At the University of Houston, he conducts advanced research in responsible artificial intelligence, focusing on the intersection of autonomous systems and the development of trustworthy AI frameworks and governance. Previously, he served as a lecturer and researcher at Loughborough University London. Dr. Haileleol also chaired a session at the high-level Responsible AI in Military Domain (REAIM) conference in The Hague and remains a strong advocate for the inclusion of African perspectives in global AI dialogues.
