Graham Brookie

Graham Brookie is the senior director of the Digital Forensic Research Lab (DFRLab) at the Atlantic Council and a national security, technology, and communications expert with more than a decade of experience leading cross-disciplinary teams. DFRLab is home to more than 50 experts spread across six continents conducting research, shaping public policy, setting industry standards for analysis, and promoting diverse communities of “Digital Sherlocks” around the world. Most recently, DFRLab launched the Democracy and Tech Initiative, was a founding partner of the Election Integrity Partnership, and continued to expand research capacity on Chinese conceptions of "discourse power" and online harms in the global south. Prior to the Atlantic Council, Brookie served in a number of positions at the White House and National Security Council, including as an adviser for strategic communications, adviser to the Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and in the East Asia, and Middle East and North Africa directorates.
