Emnet Tafesse

Emnet Tafesse is a researcher with Data & Society’s AI on the Ground program. She is driven by a deep commitment to using advocacy, research, and policy to advance social justice and build a more equitable world. Prior to joining Data & Society, Emnet worked on a range of projects focused on criminal justice reform and education at the University of Chicago’s Urban Labs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Howard University and a master’s in public policy, with a certificate in global conflict studies, from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy.
