Diana Kemunto Nyakundi

Diana Kemunto Nyakundi is a distinguished Artificial Intelligence (AI) Fellow at Research ICT Africa, where she leads and collaborates on projects at the nexus of AI and societal impact, to produce impactful research and policy recommendations. Her work is driven by a commitment to ensuring the responsible and ethical use of emerging technologies especially within the African continent. She is also the founder and AI Lead at Ideate Tech Policy Africa (ITPA), an organization dedicated to advancing tech policy through multidisciplinary research, litigation, and expert advisory on diverse tech policy issues in Africa. Ms Nyakundi has also worked with UNESCO as the lead country expert for Kenya, conducting the country's Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM) to evaluate and enhance Kenya's preparedness for AI adoption. She holds a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Nairobi, an Executive Certificate in Law, Policy, and Technology from IE University and an AI Policy Analyst Certification from the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Policy (CAIDP).
