David Elliot Berman

David Elliot Berman is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Media, Inequality and Change Center at the University of Pennsylvania. His upcoming book manuscript—The Optimizers: Cultural Production in the Age of Platform Capitalism—investigates how social media algorithms have transformed journalistic labor. He is also the co-author (with Victor Pickard) of the book After Net Neutrality: A New Deal for the Digital Age, which was published by Yale University Press in 2019.
