Claudia Ruiz

Claudia Ruiz is the Senior Civil Rights Policy Advisor at UnidosUS, the nation's largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization. She works at the intersection of civil rights, democracy, and technology, fighting unchecked surveillance and data exploitation practices while advocating for governance frameworks that ensure AI delivers on its promise of shared opportunity. Her advocacy work also encompasses voting rights and election protection, broadband access and adoption, and policing reform. Claudia also serves as Co-Chair of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights' Media/Telecommunications Task Force and is a former Co-Chair of the Federal Communications Commission's Consumer Advisory Committee.
