Charis Papaevangelou

Charis Papaevangelou is a PhD candidate at the University of Toulouse, France, where he is studying the political economy of social media platforms’ regulation with a distinct focus on recent European content regulation. He is part of the European project for journalism, JOLT, which has received funding from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. He obtained his first degree from the Panteion University in Athens and his master's degree from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands. His main field of study is communication, digital media and politics. His latest peer-review publication discusses the nascent notion of platform governance. He has also presented his work at numerous international conferences and has written for various French and Greek news outlets.
