Carolina Gottardo

Carolina Gottardo is the Executive Director of the International Detention Coalition (IDC), a global network with members in more than 75 countries advocating against immigration detention and promoting alternatives. Carolina Gottardo has worked for more than two decades on human rights issues, specializing in migrants' rights and gender. Carolina has also been the director of the Latin American Women's Rights Service in the UK and the Jesuit Refugee Service in Australia, and currently serves on the board of Women in Migration Network and Asia Pacific Refugee Rights Network. Carolina's work focuses on policy, advocacy, and government relations, and she works closely with civil society, governments and the UN.
