Caitlin Burke

Caitlin Burke is a JD/PhD candidate at Stanford University, where her research focuses on data privacy, design ethics, and children's online safety. She is currently a technology policy fellow at Meta and was previously a public policy fellow at the Center for Democracy and Technology. She has published works on dark patterns, the history of user experience design, and social media's role in election outcomes.Before arriving at Stanford, she worked as a product manager and UX designer for companies such as CBS, HBO, and Google. She earned her master's degree in Computational Media from Duke University in 2019.
