Ana Catarina De Alencar

Ana Catarina de Alencar is an international legal counsel specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Data Privacy, and IT Contracts. She holds a Master’s degree in Law and Technology and has authored several publications on the intersection of AI and law, including the book Artificial Intelligence, Ethics, and Law (2021). Currently based in Paris, Ana serves as Legal Counsel at EIT Manufacturing, a European Union co-funded innovation initiative. She also coordinates the Global Leadership Network for Brazilian Women in AI Governance, conducts research at the Institute for Legal Grounds, and contributes to international initiatives for trustworthy AI, including Open Ethics AI and Z-Inspection. In addition to her legal and academic work, Ana is a content creator focused on current issues at the legal, ethical, and techno-social frontiers of AI, publishing regularly across websites, LinkedIn, and Instagram in a variety of formats.
