Alisar Mustafa

Alisar Mustafa is a Syrian-American Responsible Innovation Consultant where she works on identifying and mitigating potential harms to society caused by emerging technologies. She is passionate about using data, policy and technology to bridge the gap between advocacy and policy change. She completed her Master of Science in Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University where she joined the Public Interest Technology Lab to work on Combating Bias in Government Data and Algorithms. Alisar is the founder of Analytics for Advocacy, an organization that equips advocacy groups with the policy, data and tech resources to effectively pass or change legislation.
